Michele
Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)
Michele has worked in dentistry since 1996, joining Hengst & Stirling Family Dental in 2006 as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant. Her comprehensive education from Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School and Harrisburg Area Community College provided the foundation for her specialized role in patient care and practice operations.
With nearly three decades of experience, Michele's dedication to patient care extends beyond technical expertise. She believes that truly knowing her patients is essential to providing optimal care, an approach that allows her to anticipate needs and ensure comfort during procedures. In her role, she skillfully manages multiple aspects of patient care, from chairside assistance to maintaining rigorous sterilization protocols and ensuring the practice is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Michele's passion for helping others led her to choose dentistry as a career. This decision has allowed her to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives. When not creating healthy smiles at the practice, she finds joy in active pursuits, including motorcycle riding, camping, and peaceful moments relaxing by the pool.
Dr. H and Michelle were excellent with my 13 year old daughter and her first filling. He was very gentle and attentive to her feelings. Explained everything that was going to happen and continued throughout the procedure. Michelle made sure she was comfortable and talked to her the whole time. My daughter left happy and said it was a piece of cake!
